Please post your online hobby stores and store questions (like shipping) here so that we can avoid another 100 "where can I buy gundam models?" threads. Post them below and we'll update the list here at the top. Please format as listed below for consistency.
[official advertisers] [contest sponsors]

http://www.hobbywave.com/

Used to have a great monthly contest. Nice store and good selection of military.

Ako Creations
http://akocreation.com/
Kits and conversions. Cool stuff!

PlaJapan
http://www.plajapan.com/
I ordered from them once when they were J-Hobby.net. Not a bad exp.

Hobby Search
http://www.1999.co.jp/eng/
In Japan. Good for resin conversions and new releases. I've heard good and bad about shipping being overcharged.

the House of Anime
http://www.hoaoutlet.com/
U.S. Reasonable pricing and "discount sales" (up to 50% off). A good source for Hobby Japan & Dengeki Hobby.

Operation Gundam
http://www.operationgundam.com
Okay prices, don't appear to have newer releases.

Asylum Anime
http://www.asylum-anime.com/
Has a 30% sale off right now on all gundam kits. Weird ordering system.

Modeledom
http://modeledom.com/
A Canadian site with a forum also with pics of customized kits. Dollar amounts are in Canadian currency.

tisinc99
http://www.tisinc99.com
A little bit of everything from anima/manga.

Lucky Model
http://www.luckymodel.com
Great for scale planes, armor and Gunze paints. They have free worldwide airmail shipping on a wide range of after-market accessories. Their service is top notch and they answer most email queries within a day. Prices are very good too and they seem to have sales very frequently. Based in Hong Kong.

I got my first order from Hobbywave today. Arrived quick and packed very nicely. Four Gunpla kits for only $10 flat shipping was nice.

And I've just gotta say (again) that the HLJ folks--including their President, Scott Hards--were the greatest bunch of hobby enthusiasts I've ever dealt with when I met them at the IPMS convention earlier this year. I'm pretty thrilled to see them on board as a FFF sponsor.

  So many great vendors, so little money (and shelf space)...

Is there a good place in the US to order option parts from? I want to get quite a few to have a supply to start out with. So have the only place I can find them in HLJ.

i have a question about hobbywave. After you buy the kits from hobby wave, how do you use the credits? Can you use the credits to buy other gundam model? It's been bugging me. So far i can't get any answer. thanks if you can tell me. Right now im thinking about buying my gundams there because it has a 10 flat rate.  Big Grin

As long as what you ordered isn't a preorder then you get credits towards yuor next purchase. Go to the mypage section to see how many you have. When you add stuff to the cart, they generally show up there or in checkout. I can't recall.

Archer Fine Transfers
http://www.archertransfers.com/
These guys specialize in dry transfers for armor models. In the context of fichtenfoo anime modelling however, they also sell tatoos and eyes as water slide decals for anime garage kits. Based in Youngsville, USA

As a side note: I've ordered from them once before and their service is excellent. My order was shipped within three or four hours after placing and paying for it. Delivery time was about 12 days from USA to South Africa.

I have ordered from bearair a few times. Shipping fast and there customer service is great. I think I got my stuff in like 2 or 3 days. Plus they offer loyalty pionts where the more you spend the more points you get towards future stuff.

I have nothing but good things to say about them even though they don't carry Iwata anymore. Big Grin  LOL

PS. I almost forgot they offer first time buyer packages. Like I got a free cleaning brush kit with the purchase of an AB. And I got free paint from them to, for a purchase over so much money spent.

So ask if they are offering any first time buyer specials of order there cataloge first. You could just PM me and I will give you the coupon codes from my book.
