Finally have the time and motivation to begin a new build, the Shin Musha Gundam :

So far, test fit has been done and beginning to make a few cosmetic changes.

Thoughts and suggestions are welcome as always!

Awesome!  I was waiting for someone to tackle this kit.  Can't wait to see your build.

Good luck with this build!  Are you going to paint Musha in the original colors or are you going to go for something else? Either way this is one of the more interesting designs I think so I can't wait to see what else you do!

I'll be doing a slight variation of the OOB colour scheme. I've completed the waist area and I'll update my site in the next few days so you can see what sort of difference I'll be making.

Update :

Finished painting the skirt but unsure what colour panel lining will be done yet :

Also began working on the feet and legs including adding pins to the foot and leg armour.

New update :

Finished the torso and thrusters. Ended up using aftermarket thrusters from Ako Hobby which IC pins were added to the internals. Only the arm shields, head and weapons left to paint now then I can move on to detailing :

Update :

Not too much in this update, just had a few snags :

Progress will slow down a little due to the fact I need a new air brush from stupid clumsiness on my behalf. I have also begun preparing the head and weapons for priming.

New update,

Sorry it's been so long. I seem to be addicted to Fallout 3 at the moment so that is taking up most of my time!  Wink

Anyway, I'm nearly done and recently masked of the sword hilt and prepared the kit for decalling :

This is a sweet use of the stock color scheme. Nice OOB treatment. Whats the gold mix? Looks like it has some clear orange in it.

Looking at that kit and I had a flash. If anyone ever played Legend of the Dragoon, an old psone game then am sure you would agree that that kit painted in a Jade Color scheme with some golden highlights would be totally awesome and insane. I want to buy one and try it myself  Tongue.
Anyways Red your kit is really cool. I want to know too the recipe you used for the gold it goes well with the orange.

Thanks for the comments guys.

The gold is actually Gunze Mr Metal Brass painted over a base of Tamiya Nato Black - there is no orange involved at all with this kit.
