Sometimes I like to work on model kits. Sometimes I like to finish them too!  :sarcasm:

Finally got around to posting some pics of Daizenga on my blog. I got this at the Kotobukiya store in Akihabara last year. This is the individual release with no Ausenseitser.

Anyways, hope you guys like this. Just wanted to share.  ^_^

Excellent work Kevin.  The lighter color makes some of the details more visible.  The chrome green is very cool, makes the armor plating almost like insect carapace.  I'm surprised that the joints can hold such a big sword!   :twitch:

Don't you just hate it when they release those sets with more "stuff" later (ie. Huckenbein Boxer, R-gun Powered, etc.)  I've learned to wait a bit before buying their new releases.

Thanks, Horace! Yes, the joints are surprisingly strong for a kit like this. As for posability, this kit lacks quite a bit of articulation. Mainly due to the skirt armor. I actually wish I still owned my Banpresto/Volks/Dengeki figure version of this mech. That one had much better articulation. :meh2:

As for the sets Yeah, that bites! Just a way to obviously get us fanboy's to spend more cash!  Speaking of, they're releasing the Twin Strike set with WildFalken and WildWurger. I don't own WildWurger, but I have the other one!Guess I'll never learn.

Maybe i'll wait for them to release the inevitable set of the SRX team in 1/100 scale before getting the R-1! ;)

Great paint job, very subtle and nicely done.
I'm not such a huge fan of the green highlights though. But the rest is really great, especially the shadings!

Thanks, Ezechiel! The green is actually a metallic blue/green. I was quite shocked. It's by Gunze Sangyo and it's the exact color that the piece was molded in. :twitch: Actually I'm not sure how that color found it's way into my paint stash. I'm OK with it though.

Looks great Kevin! Seems like Koto is starting to do a lot of great stuff. I'm looking forward to their Linebarrels of Iron releases later this year.

Thanks Michael! Yeah, the Koto releases have been a surprise blessing of sorts. Really sharp sculpts and great designs at nearly each release equals lots of fun build-ups. I was very happy when I saw that they were going to start releasing models for Kurogane no Linebarrels. Better watch my wallet! ^_^

Thanks walker. Dygenguar is one of my favorite designs ever. Glad you like my site too.  Thank Fichtenfoo for getting the redesign launched. ;) :D

I like this model it's very original. And I like the way you painted it. yopur style style is close to one of my friend with lots of subtule shading and great colors.

Speaking of which... did I make you a template for replacing the top images with newer stuff? If not, I should.
