Finished this last year but only took pics this evening. This kit is built with MG Freedom and VP conversion parts, plus parts from the 1/100 HG Destiny. IMHO it still beats the MG Destiny released a year later in terms of proportions and design. Downside is that the resin parts simply doesn't hold up as well as the styrene/abs combos. The wings are so heavy that I had a lot of trouble posing them, despite a lot of work in strengthening the joints. (Guess I'll need smaller dimensioned pics  :embarrased: right click and do "view image" to see the unaliased pics)

Unfortunately, the board software automatically scales down the images, so--as a result--your pictures are a little bit pixelated here. I would encourage people to click on the links below to see the pictures in full resolution:

Image 1 | Image 2 | Image 3

For future reference, the board automatically scales image width down to 640 pixels.  :-)

Fantastic paint work--and pose work. I'm not a fan of the Destiny design, but this looks sharp!

Actually, it's more that the board software limits the size of image displayed - if you right click, view image, on any of the above images, they come up at the original resolution.

yes, right clicking to view image is a FireFox function, what you can do is click on the image, then hold down the left mouse button and drag the image to the Address bar's URL field, then the image should load in the window.

Before I forget...

Great Job on the destiny Gundam...  :-)

He's using IE! GET HIM!! :pirate:

I can't stand that design but that's a really nice paintjob. Really like the gradation on the wings.

Love the shading on the wings! looks like its glowing! ^_^ and I like the idea that you used off-white/light gray for most of the parts! :D

Thanks guys. The Destiny design took me a while to get used to as well, but VP's rendition of it really helps, kinda 'katokized' the original design.

Very nice work and welcome Cody! Nice to see you and your great work here. Yours is one of the sites I learned a lot from when I first started modeling. You should post more of you work here as we model more than just mecha... or at least we try to!

Anyway, the Destiny looks really nice. Love the orange fade on the wings.
