What's up dudes!  Remember me?  It's been a while since i've built anything.  I think the last model I finished was back in November 2007.  I just had to take a break because of burnout, plus I found other hobbies to take up my time (namely photography).. but it was only a matter of time till my closet pile called to me...

I finished this Tie Fighter a couple weeks ago, but just got around to taking pics of it tonight.  You guys might remember my Y-Wing from last year, as you can see, this is much cleaner looking in comparison.  The Empire likes to keep their ships in good order..

anyways, here ya go

and the rest

Very nice looking Tie B! Don't recall seeing one with a decal like that, but I dig it. Seems like the perfect color for a Tie and everything. Vader is pleased I'm sure.

Nice looking TIE. Nice reserved weathering. The Empire would have the resources to keep stuff that clean and spotless. Might have been ice to paint the engine glowing instead of black. The masking looks very tight, especially around the canopy.
I wonder about the guy that can sit through a David Lynch movie and say, "I saw that coming."

Thanks.  The back doesn't actually glow on TIEs.. it's always black.

Really? Hmmm. It's been so long since I've seen any of the movies. Well, it should.

Long time no see bhop!  Glad to hear you're doing well.  (any links to some of your more recent photos?)

The Tie is great!  You did a great job bringing out all the finemold surface details.  Did you swoosh it around the house?

Welcome back! Great looking TIE. The way you brought out the surface detail is just... Perfect.

Amazing.

Nerd Mode:

TIE stood for Twin Ion Engine. On the back there are 2 small round protrusions, those are the ion engines.

I think that's a given.. If you don't swoosh one of these around the house, you're no true fan.

Waow very nice. I did one years ago it's a very nice and highly detailed kit.
The grey is better than mine wich was darker.
Did you planed to build the interceptor too ? If yes take care of the wing parts.
