It's done, or I'm done with it. Either way, here are two images of the completed model.

Usually I prefer low angle shots to help accent the size of the model, but for some reason, this one looks better from higher angles. Something about the lines of the suit, or maybe it's the tree. I may try to re-shoot to try to get more light under the brim of the hat.
I wonder about the guy that can sit through a David Lynch movie and say, "I saw that coming."

Very nice and bucolic :-)
That's not a design that really appeals to me but I do appreciate the flawless execution of the whole thing.

Well thank you very much. I don't know about flawless, but I feel it's my best finish to date. The last one got away from me, so I'm learning to be a little more specific with the weathering.

I think it's a very believable take on the H-G hybrid.  The weathering is excellent as always.  Knowing all the work you put into the tree and leaves makes me appreciate it even more.

Thanks Major. I liked the Berndt right away when I saw it on Juliano's site. H/G Hybrid is a great way to say it. But do you see it as something cobbled together from parts,  or as an evolutionary missing  link?

Painting and weathering are great as usual and I love that tree. The figure head looks great and has a youthful appearance as opposed to the gnarled vet look you usually see. Almost like it's an old Hollywood actor in a MaK movie. Makes me wanna start some MaK kits again. :shifty:

If I've done nothing else, at least I've accomplished that.  ^_^ :D

Well, I have a HB AFS conversion on the way. I've really been itching to do my Wave Gans, but also a Gustav or Proto Mel. Back when a friend of mine did his, he made some molds and made a few more for his personal use so he sent me one. Maybe I'll just do both in one dio... one of these days.

Wave Gans will eventually be re-released, so collector's value just went down, so build away.

Good to know. Not why I was saving it... just doing my MaK rationing to make them last since who knows when we'll see something other than an AFS variant. I can see them spending 7 years doing nothing but SAFS variants in the future. :( At least the SAFS is cooler than the AFS!

A lot of neat projects in the horizon I see..  ;)

I see it more like a trial model, or something they attempted but then eventually abandoned production due to a better design.
