The gold is awesome!!!  I want to buy another one of these bad boys now.  I like how its all open, but still has the unicorn head.  Keeps it looking unique without that "just another gundam" kit look.  Great work.

Looks fantastic Erix! The gold and modifications look sweet. Nice work! Love the gold on the bazooka.

Looks great, I wasn't really sure at first about the gold on this particular kit (or any gundam for that matter, except Hyaku Shiki) but I think it turned out great.

As for the rest: Gray - it's the only way.  ;)

(so much better than white!)

Thanks for the compliments master & friends....

Yeah, at first I'm also very about the gold might not suit with the grey,
but after all, lucky it looks better than I tot.  :embarrased:

Man, this build really inspired me to purchase the Unicorn Gundam.  Really nice and clean, I love it.  What was the process you used for the gold?  What paint, layers, etc?  Looks exactly how I would want to paint my gold kits later on (akatsuki, hyaku-shiki, etc).

I like the way the gold paint job on Gundam turned out, it is definitely better than the original red color. Great job!!!

"Nothing special, actually..."

When you die, can I have your model-building skills?

I really like the way the bits of gold look set in the blue backpack, although the use of blue, especially on the feet seems out of place with the rest of the model. I don't know how blue can not go with white, I'm not saying it makes sense.  ??? Also, I'm not wild about the gold hands. :cough: Strike Freedom :cough:  :shifty:

Still that's little personal preference issues. It's a really clean, well-made model. Great work as usual.

It's because on the front there's NO other blue, which makes it seem really random.  Kinda like Zeta + C1's blue feet and almost no blue anywhere else.... (well, except a bit on the gun and face).

Your Unicorn... is so kick-ass awesome!!!!! The colors are so solid... and the gold... is just  :twitch:!!!!!!!!!! What kind of gold paint did you use to get that shine?
And I also saw your other works on your site... their so awesome and make me feel so inferior!

I have to say this looks superb.
I never realized how much detail was in those red parts, but this gold really brings them through and makes this kit stand out proud and strong. If there was anything I had to comment on would be the lack of the blue you used for the feet, perhaps using it somewhere on the torso as an accent would draw it in and make the kit feel more complete. But, I think that is nulled by the excellent placing of decals. Great work again.

Blue color.... what to do? I', blue favorite.

Zircor: Thank you for the explanation .

bi0sh0cker: thank you, the gold was Mr.Color No.9 + clear Orange.

AnatoleFarmond: thank you!

Thank for the comments guys, I'll take note on the colors scheme for my future project,
maybe the blue really isn't that good to this kit.

Thanks again!!  :-)

Very impressive build sir!  I have been watching you progress with this on your blog, and I must say this is by far the best looking Unicorn I have seen up till now!!  I love the chest area how you bulked it up abit, I think the gold complements this kit perfectly. And like the rest the lighter grey armor looks much better then the white. Congrats on this build!

This is the best Unicorn I have ever seen. Perfectly combo awesome!!

Have got one question for the gold colour. You wrote "Mr. colour No. 9 + Clear Orange"; this means you mix them together or Gold first then cover with the clear.

Thanx in advance for your suggestion.

Great job!! Cheerio

Well, looking at my Unicorn I realized that the blue feet were from the original colors....  and there's still no blue anywhere else.  Looking at this build again, I think if the lower torso (stomache area) would have been the same shade instead of grey, would have fit in much better, or maybe having some blue details (decals, panel lines, etc).  I'm going to give it a try for my build, I think  :)

My Favorite Unicorn that I have seen by far.  Erix, what color white or combination of colors did you use.  I am thinking that color of white would look good on  my 1/35 G-Sys Rx-78 Ver-Ka.  I like that its not to bright just a tad on the grey side.
